Triangle Loom Weaving – May 11 & 18, 2024

$80.00

If you are a beginner, we’ll start with continuous strand weaving. If you have the basics of continuous strand down, you have your choice of challenging yourself with a new pattern or learning cut strand weaving.

There are a 3-foot triangle looms available to borrow for up to 6 students on a first-come, first-served basis.

Description

Continuous Strand Weaving:
With this weaving technique, you will learn how to start your project, learn to control the tension, have fun with patterns and learn to take your project off of the loom. You can learn to make fringe or how to create a different type of border.

Cut Strand Weaving:
A bit more challenging, you will learn how to plan your project including deciding on your pattern, determining the length of your strands, tips on how to prepare them before weaving, learn to weave on the bias, and how to finish off your project to remove it from the loom. You can leave the simple fringe, or add additional fringing.

If you are bringing your own loom, we will need to know the measurements of your loom and the number of nails across the long side of your loom so we can let you know how many yards of yarn for this project.
