Swedish weaving also called Huck weaving or Huck embroidery is a surface weaving technique used to embellish finished fabrics. The oldest surviving examples date back to Northern Europe in the 1600s. This work can be seen throughout history with the most recent resurgence in the 1940s.
Class will be held from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Prerequisite: None
Age minimum: 10 years. Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. (Parent/guardian does not need to register or participate in the class.)

Description
In this class you will learn to identify and choose fabric and thread to achieve a desired look. You will also become familiar with other supplies needed to complete your project. There will be time to learn and practice the basic stitches before choosing a project to complete.
Through this project you will become familiar with reading patterns, as well as starting and ending techniques. No prior knowledge is needed and all supplies will be provided.
