Description

You will learn specific sail making techniques as you go through the process of hand-sewing a ditty bag. This includes mastering basic stitches and techniques for working with canvas and other heavy-duty fabrics.

Gain hands-on experience with traditional handcrafting techniques like hemming, reinforcing seams, and attaching hardware. Learn how to create and install grommets, a crucial skill for making durable, long-lasting bags.

Materials and Tools Provided: The class fee includes all materials and tools needed for the workshop.

Each participant will receive high-quality canvas fabric, threads, needles, and a specialized leather sewing palm to help with hand-sewing. You’ll also receive a needle case to take home, ensuring you have the tools to continue your crafting journey.

Students must be at least 16 years old. Proof of age may be required. Parent/guardian of students under 18 must be on-site during class time. Parent/guardian must sign up separately if they want to participate in the class.
