Description

Refresher – Continuous Strand Weaving:

We’ll go over the basics of continuous strand weaving: creating your pattern, how to start your project, controlling tension, and finishing techniques.

Continuous Strand Weaving – Twill:

Twill is a fabric weave that creates a diagonal line across the fabric with each row shifting by one warp end. We’ll start with a basic 2 over 2 twill, and then explore other options as time permits.

Cut Strand Weaving:
A bit more challenging, you will learn how to plan your project including deciding on your pattern, determining the length of your strands, tips on how to prepare them before weaving, learn to weave on the bias, and how to finish off your project to remove it from the loom. You can leave the simple fringe, or add additional fringing.

If you are bringing your own loom, we will need to know the measurements of your loom and the number of nails across the long side of your loom so we can let you know how many yards of yarn you will need for your project.
